Cholesterol is a word familiar to those conscious about their health. But what exactly is cholesterol and why do so few know the impact it has on our health?
In particular, if LDL cholesterol increases too much it can cause arteriosclerosis. Conversely, too little LDL cholesterol can cause of cerebral (brain) hemorrhage. As a result, LDL is often called “bad cholesterol”, whereas HDL (which performs the role of recovering LDL) is called “good cholesterol”.
